Amy Kochis - Teacher
I grew up in Doylestown, Ohio. I lived in Ohio most of my life and relocated to Arizona in 2003. My education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Child Life and a Master’s in Education. This will be my seventh year teaching Kindergarten and my 18th year working with young children. In the past I worked as a Child Life Specialist, Infant Teacher, Preschool Teacher and a HeadStart teacher. My hobbies include traveling, spending time with my family, and colorguard. I am currently the Colorguard Instructor for Perry High School. I also teach a junior colorguard here at ASU Preparatory. My husband Mike is a golf supervisor for the Hilton. I am looking forward to a great year.
Ashley Bonilla - Teacher
I am happy to be working at ASU Preparatory Academy for my third year! I was born and raised in Arizona and this is my fourth year teaching. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Autism Spectrum Disorders at Arizona State University. I was a certified lifeguard with the City of Mesa for 8 years. I've always enjoyed being around children and have volunteered my time at the Child Crisis Center as well. I absolutely love traveling, from the month-long road trips with my family in the summers, to the 2 months I spent studying abroad and living in Spain! I am married to the love of my life and love spending time with our families. I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking and making cards, playing the piano, taking pictures, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. I am looking forward to an amazing year learning and growing together!
Lorraine Cordo – Instructional Aide Extraordinaire
Hi! I am Lorraine Cordo and I am so excited to be part of the Polytechnic Kindergarten Team. I am originally from New York and have lived in Colorado and Florida before settling here in AZ where I've lived for the past 16 years. I have two wonderful children who mean the world to me. I have been an instructional aide for the past 6 years and love working with Kindergarten. I look forward to getting to know you and your children this year.
Bianca Maxwell - Instructional Aide Extraordinaire
I have been an instructional assistant for two years and am excited to begin my third. I am currently a student at Arizona State University. I am very passionate about baking and taking care of my cat, Soc. For several years now, I have been performing and teaching the Colorguard. I have taught at many different high schools and youth guards around Arizona. Let the school year begin!
